A Real Scare? Or another farce?


Would the Iranians really do this? Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denies Iranian boats would ever do such a thing. Now, its not that i believe him, but i really just don’t trust this administration. Let’s say the Iranians would do such a thing. Did the command come from the top? Some mid-level commander? or was it just some crazy speedboat captain? If it came from the top, what would they gain from such an action? If they did out right attack the U.S. ship, then they know it would be instant war, and i don’t think the Iranians are ready for that yet. What would scaring the U.S. ships do? The only practical thing i can think of is that perhaps they were using their speedboats as a distraction for some other Iranian operation.

I really just don’t buy the threatening posture story.
